India banned more than 100 apps related to China

Continuing with the escalation of tensions between the two Asian countries, the government of India decided to ban 118 Chinese mobile applications, among which are several that are the product of the Tencent company (of which PUBG Mobile and WeChat Work stand out).

Previously, the Indian government would have banned 59 applications of which TikTok is singled out for putting sovereignty, integrity and national security at risk, reported La Vanguardia.

The Minister of Technology of India informed with the BBC that there was certain information that the applications would be acting against the interests of India. It also pointed out that various complaints had been received from multiple sources about the misuse of mobile applications for stealing user data without permission.
